In 1985, Tony decided to take a break from live performances to focus on his family and his career. In 1994, he picked up his guitar again and began studying and taking lessons. In 1995, he joined his 1st original project called Triage, a great rock band out of South Philly.
But it was in 1996 when Tony answered an ad in the paper for a guitarist for a newly formed Scorpions tribute band. This is where he met two of his musical soul mates, Jimmy Morrissey the bands lead singer, and Ed Kovach the rhythm guitarist and founder of the band.
Tony played on stage with Ed for 15 years until Ed retired from live performances but Tony has kept the project alive and kicking. Today, this project is now known as Stage 3 and it is in its 18th year of constant gigs and entertaining the tri state area. In 2006, Tony began taking lessons from Bobby "Little Bob" Ferrara. This experience changed his whole approach to guitar playing and what it means to be a musician and live performer.
Tony has had the pleasure of playing on stage with Jon Anderson from Yes, Dickey Betts from The Allman Brothers Band, Teddy Andreadis from Guns N’ Roses, Kelly Keagy from Night Ranger and Vinnie Appice from Ronnie James Dio. In 2006 Tony’s guitar playing helped a band that he joined win a competition that led them to be the opening act at The Journey - Def Leppard Concert at The Germain Amphitheater in Columbus, Ohio.
Tony plays Jackson, BC Rich, Fender and Gibson guitars exclusively and uses only Fender EVH III heads and combos along with Fender EVH and Mesa Boogie Cabs.
