What is the Student Employee of the Year Program?
Every year Park University honors two outstanding student workers with a Student Employee of the Year award. One award is given to the Undergraduate Student Employee of the Year and one to the Graduate Assistant of the Year. Park employs many students in departments all across campus. They contribute to many areas of the University and are part of the reason Park is an excellent community of higher education. In turn, the people who supervise and work with the students help them to enter the workforce as better future employees.
This program is to recognize the student employees who warrant particular recognition for their performance on the job. If your deparment has a student worker that you feel is deserving of this honor, please take some time to nominate them for this year's award. The purpose is to show regconition for a job "Well done!" And as a bonus the winner can receive awards and prizes!
There are certain requirements for a student to be nominated. They are:
-Only one undergraduate and one graduate student per department can be nominated.
- Only supervisors of a work study or graduate assistant can nominate.
- If a department has more than one supervisor, those supervisors must decide together which student to nominate.
- The student must be an undergraduate and employed through the federal or institutional work study program, or a graduate assistant.
- The student must have completed at least (6) month's part-time employment between July 1st, 2014and June 30, 2015 (anticipated).
The Nomination Form (Part A) and Nomination Letter (Part B) are due Tuesday, March 3th, 2014.
How will the winner be selected and honored?
The nominations will be ranked by a panel of independent judges and a winner selected. The winners will be announced at Park University's annual Dr. Doris A. Howell Leadership Awards Banquet, which this year will be April 8th, 2015 at 6PM.
Thank you for supporting and honoring our student employees at Park University!
